Eliminating single use cups
NRL invited Macklemore to perform at the NRL grand finale. The organisation teamed up with Globelet to replace their single use cups & increase PR exposure using a custom-made design for Macklemore.
WHAT WE DID
Globelet provided 4,000 reusable cups with a special design and made sure all cups would be washed on site to be ready to use again.
Replaced the single use cups with 4,000 reusable cups.
Great PR exposure and an unique souvenir for the visitors.
REUSABLE CUPS ARE BEING USED AROUND THE WORLD.
The Rio Olympics introduced reusable cups to increase beer sales, create a unique souvenir and also eliminate waste from single use plastic cups.
During the international event, over 45 designs were created (each sport). Attendees would line up for beer just to get the cups, as the only way to get one was with a beer.
The Olympic reusable cups created a cleaner and greener Olympics, increased the drink sales and created a great PR message.
Twickenham Stadium introduced a re-usable Fan Cup at the 2015 Rugby World Cup as a solution to the disposables previously used.
During an international event more than 140,000 pints of beer are served. Therefore 140,000 cups were thrown away in a day. Despite their best efforts these cups would little the local community. The waste from Twickenham had a far reach.
The reusable cups provided a cleaner stadium and significantly reduced the waste leaving the stadium.
